Description

Homemade Pickle Flavored Potato Chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 russet potatoes
  • 1 whole pickle
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp salt & pepper

Preparation

  1. Slice the pickle into thin slabs.
  2. Using a food-dehydrator, dehydrate the pickles.
  3. Using a mortar and pestle or coffee grinder, turn the pickles into a powder.
  4. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to the pickle powder. Then set it aside.
  5. Rinse and wash the potatoes.
  6. Slice the potatoes into ⅛” chips.
  7. Give the raw chips an ice bath for 5 minutes.
  8. Dry the potatoes.
  9. Fry the potatoes at 350 degrees fahrenheit until golden brown
  10. Remove from the oil and place them into a large tossing bowl.
  11. Toss the chips with the pickle powder and server
