Description

This gooey and cheesy delight consists of warm marinara, beautifully herbaceous pesto, and mozzarella sandwiched between two golden and crispy hash brown patties.

Ingredients

  • 8 Hash Brown Patties, frozen
  • 8 tbsp (112 g) Marinara Sauce, Store Bought (2 tbsp per spudwich)
  • 8 tbsp (112 g) Pesto, Store Bought (2 tbsp per spudwich)
  • 8 slices (8 ounces) Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced, 2 ounces (2 slices) per spudwich (Provolone can be subbed)
  • 1 tsp (6 g) Garlic Salt
  • Cooking Spray, As Needed

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place your frozen hash brown patties.
  2. Bake the patties for 7 minutes and flip, cooking for an additional 7 minutes. Or bake according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
  3. Take the tray out of the oven and season both sides of the patties with the garlic salt.
  4. Begin building your spudwich paninis on the tray. Working in twos, spread the marinara on one of the two patties in the pair and the pesto on the second patty. Place the mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara side and then top it with the pesto patty, pesto side down.
  5. Put the tray back in the oven and bake for 3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the spudwich adheres to itself.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
