Description

Try the latest tater trend Fry Bags with these salty, sweet churro-seasoned fries. Toss everything in a paper bag, shake it up, and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (32 ounces) Straight Cut or Shoestring Fries, frozen
+

Seasoning

  • ½ cup (100 grams) White Granulated Sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon (4 grams) Ground Cinnamon
+

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups (325 grams) Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 grams) Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon (5 grams) Vanilla Extract

Preparation

  1. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix.
    1. Note: These spice measurements will yield more seasoning than necessary for a one 32-ounce bag of fries. Extra seasoning can be stored to use for future fry bags.
  2. Cook fries according to package instructions. Once cooked, put the fries into a paper bag.
  3. While the fries are cooking, make the cream cheese icing. Using a hand or stand mixer, whip the cream cheese until light and fluffy (approx. 30 seconds).
  4. Slowly add in half of the powdered sugar, scraping down the sides of the bowl as you go.
  5. Once the first half of the powdered sugar is fully incorporated, add in the second half, the heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until the icing is smooth and uniform.
  6. Sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of seasoning for every two cups fries into the bag. Shake to coat the fries in the seasoning, and then taste-test add more seasoning if you’d like.
  7. Tear open the bag, serve with the cream cheese icing, and enjoy!
