Can I Cook Potatoes in a Multicooker or Instant Pot for Potato Salad?

Multicookers can cook potatoes very fast. While potatoes can be cooked in a multicooker for potato salad, it’s not normally recommended due to the risk of overcooking the potatoes.  Potatoes can vary in their cook times and due to the power of pressure cookers and multicookers, it’s hard to gauge when the potatoes are just done enough to provide good texture in a potato salad.
