Potatoes USA partnered with Chef Garrett Berdan, RDN, LD, to create five new potato breakfast recipes intended for school foodservice. The recipes, including the Ultimate Hash Brown Breakfast Burrito, the Egg and Potato Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Totchos To-Go, Cinnamon Potato Buns, and Cheesy Potato Breakfast Pockets utilize frozen and dehydrated potato products and meet requirements within the USDA’s National School Breakfast Program.
These breakfast recipes are featured in a new “Potatoes Raise the Bar at Breakfast” brochure geared towards school foodservice professionals. Additionally, the recipes have been used in various Potatoes USA communications, including PotatoesRaiseTheBar.com, “Potatoes Raise the Bar” monthly e-newsletters, Dedicated SmartBrief e-blasts and outreach for the “Wake Up with Potatoes” recipe contest.
