Ingredients

  • 2 (28 ounce bags) Mashed Potato Formed Granules (Pearls*)
  • 2 oz Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 8 oz Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 10 slices Turkey Bacon, Diced
  • As needed fresh Parsley

Preparation

  1. In a 2-1/2 inch full sized hotel pan, pour 2 (28 ounce bags) of instant mashed potatoes, shake each pan so the potatoes are in an even layer. In a large kitchen or container combine 2 gallons of boiling water with 2 ounces of dry ranch powder, stir until dissolved. Pour the liquid over the potatoes and stir until everything is combined. Mix thoroughly until all the water has been absorbed by the potatoes.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a steamer for about 5-10 minutes, or until the temp is at least at 140 F (60 C)
  3. Remove from the steamer and top the potatoes with the shredded cheese and cooked, chopped turkey bacon.
  4. Garnish with the chopped parsley, and serving using a 4 ounce (#8 – Grey) portion scoop.

 

Meal Contribution: 1/2 cup starchy vegetable

Variations

Add additional vegetables like peas ,carrots, and corn for a tasty veggie mix up. Or try these toppings on baked frozen potatoes like fries and tots.
