Description

Sweet and tangy BBQ shredded chicken topped with melted shredded cheese sandwiched between two golden brown crispy hash brown patties.

Ingredients

  • 48 each Hash Brown Patties
  • 6 Cups (840g) Chicken Breast (Precooked)
  • 3 Cups (709ml) BBQ Sauce
  • 1 ¼ Cups (353g) Cheddar Cheese (Shredded)
  • 6 cups (720g) Coleslaw (Prepackaged)

Preparation

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment.
  2. Bake hash browns on sheet tray in a 400°F (204°C) for 12-15 minutes or according to manufactures recommendations. Remove, allow to cool slightly, or hold at 140°F (60°C).
  3. To Make BBQ Shredded Chicken, reheat chicken breasts in an oven at 350°F (176°C) for 12-15 minutes or until internal temp is at 165°F (74°C). Then pull apart chicken (6 cups) into strands with fingers or forks and place in a large bowl and add BBQ sauce (3 cups) and mix thoroughly until fully chicken is fully coated with sauce.
  4. To assemble, set aside half of total hash brown patties for tops of sandwich. Place shredded BBQ chicken on hash brown patties, sprinkle cheese (1 Tbsp) on top and place into oven at 400°F (204°C) until cheese melts about 2-3 minutes. Remove tray and top loaded hash brown patties with the other half of the hash brown patties to complete the sandwich. Serve with coleslaw on the side (4 Tbsp).
  5. Serve 1 shredded BBQ chicken hash brown sandwich and coleslaw on the side as single serving.
